When I hear "Nobody gives a damn about songs anymore" I hear a lot of Hayes Carll tunes...
When I hear "Blacklist" and "Break My Heart Sweetly" I think of Chris Knight and the Trailer Tapes
It's okay if we disagree...and I definitely hear the TVZ comparisons...just something I noticed while spinning the record...
Either way, it's damn good stuff...

I see how he can be compared to Chris Knight. They both have a somber, morbid-like tone to a lot of their songs. He definitely doesn't paint a sunny picture. My kind of music.
