im a 30 something dude who has always loved classic rock, but recently after watching Ken Burns Vietnam doc, I’ve become entrenched in folk/anti Vietnam music

I’ve stumbled upon the Byrds and think they are tremendous

I know it’s a remake and a bible verse, but Turn Turn Turn is a masterful song IMO with the 12 string sound

Their sound was so unique. Anyone else appreciate their catalog?

I love ‘em.

I got to see Roger McGuinn perform at The Varsity about 25 years ago. He told the story of seeing George Harrison playing a Rickenbacker 12-string in “Hard Day’s Night” and being so inspired that he went out the next day and bought one for himself.

Some times more than others, but what's not to like with Clarence White, Gram Parsons, and David Crosby contributing at different times... plus that b-bender thing they developed.

Not a huge fan. Most of their stuff is too folkie for me but I do like this one. You’re still on my mind

Had a girlfriend way back when that was a good bit younger than me, she had flown in from a trip to Germany, and had been upgraded to first class. She said she next to some guy named "Rodger something", that claimed he was in a group called the Byrds, and had I ever heard of them?
