Thats the one I was thinking about. It being a saturday show would work out great as well, I'll have to check LSU's football schedule though. I love AA and all but I'm not missing a home game for it.
ETA: looks like thats Idaho, I could potentially miss that game for Idaho

Only one Louisiana show in 2012 wtf? I am waiting on my kickstarter reward to get the new album.

BJ did an acoustic show in baton rouge in the spring, but yeah, they are busy this year.

Yeah I was at the acoustic show. I'm guessing he doesn't have any of those planned since they are promoting the new album. I need to get on your mailing list Doc, I've been hitting up their website to see when they were coming to town and all I had to do was ask you.

I don't have a mailing list, just people who let me know when they get booked in BR before anyone else knows

I really like AA but left disappointed when they refused to play lonely ain't easy. Haven't been back to Chelsea's since
Posted on 8/10/12 at 7:23 am to Redfish2010
they'll play it now that it's on their new album most likely
Posted on 8/10/12 at 8:13 am to Redfish2010
They didn't play it because the drummer didn't know it (was cut with an old one)
It's on the new album (and actually has verses)

The AA & Sons of Bill show at Chelseas was the last time I saw AA. Great time. I was actually the catalyst that got SoB on the bill. I saw they were playing in Lake Charles (gag) and got Dave R in touch with SoB via Facebook and literally 24 hours later they were added to the bill.
He's always been good to me. When Mikey Houser died, he let me throw the Houser tribute party at the old place. Ended up having about 30 people show and we took over the sound system playing some killer shows. I see him almost daily at GDC and he always says hey. Good dude.
Sadly, wife and kids I have not been to the radio bar yet, but am dying to go soon. All my friends aren't nearly music junkies like me and tend to avoid all things "hipster". I love the idea and hope the bar is doing well.
Anyone know?

american aquarium’s new record burn.flicker.die is, for lack of a better over used adjective(s), perfect. lyrically, i dont think he’s ever been more honest with his shortcomings, strengths, and just overall life view. “northern lights,” for instance, he talks about what he’s put young ladies through – been there, but as it turns out shite it aint so fun when its happening to you, or him, as it were, “anything ive ever loved ive found a way to lose, anything ive ever lost ive found an excuse, so dont give up on me babe last thing you do dont cut the strings of the only thing im holding on to.” this is what happens when a person grows up, or at least attempts to.
he’s a young man, but he lives what may some describe as a mildly destructive lifestyle, probably wouldnt be anything if it werent for the profession that he’s chosen, but it probably intensifies things and on “jacksonville” the opening line “its hard to stay inside when the bar calls your name and pretty soon this hotel room is gonna drive me insane, so im gonna hit the streets tonight and make way towards the neon lights, order a drink in a downtown dive til i forget my name…” i know, i go through this daily, at least the feelings of constraints, and really the only comfort you can sometimes find is that at the bottom of bottle. its no way to live, but some of us feel the isolation if even we have some support sytem, whether it be family, friends or band members. at the end of the day youre the one that has to deal with you, and sometimes its regrettable, sometimes glorious. i think he knows this, and i think he’s torn tween what he wants to be, and is.

Damn. Pissed I missed the email now
But excited about this album. Saw them at their first show of the year when they were playing a bunch of the new stuff, and it was fantastic.
