Alternative to Pitchfork for heavier/edgier stuff?

Being in my early 30's I no longer find new music as organically as I used to. I like Pitchfork to a point but they tend to favor softer stuff than my tastes. Give me some sites that do the same kind of thing.

The AV Club used to have a column called Loud which just got axed. A shame. That was my link.

Can you unpack this sentence a little bit? I'm not being sarcastic. I think the different ways we find new music is sort of an interesting topic.
