so because the american public as a general has a very pop-heavy music taste currently, you think this music generation sucks?

Thursday my wife ran in the house from work and hopped on the computer, apparently they announced a show with the Shakes on a boat up here and there were 250 tickets available. Sadly she was a little late and it was sold out. That would have been great to see them with a small crowd like that

One major problem is we live in the ADD generation.

Johnny Dubstepper will log on to YouTube and listen to a song for 30 seconds before moving to the next. A gem will easily be passed over and forgotten about.

Not much has changed in several decades.

To think led zeppelin was on top of the charts in the 70's is revisionist history at its finest.

Not exactly. I'm saying current pop music sucks. And that's kinda the crux, isn't it? What do you think "pop" stands for?

Sometimes on a long drive Ill shake things up a bit and put on Top 40. There are some good tracks, but most of it is garbage. Still better than dubstep though

Do yourself a favor and pull up the top ten songs on the billboard charts for the last 30 years

it stands for popular music, thanks for the history lesson. although your taste in music may be shallow, mine runs a bit deeper. it's fine if yours is only top-40. nothing wrong with that. but i don't define a generation by billboard charts.

anyway, SHAKES NEXT

You really hate dubstep don't you?

I didn't go to the show, but high top kicks had a live drummer last night at their show.

Did you think they would play something by Beiber?

They are a good band but perhaps a bit overrated based on Brittany's vocals being so unique (and that's not a knock, just noting there's a hint of novelty that goes hand in hand with her big talent).

So far so good tonight. Fans will enjoy, i don't know that they converted a ton of people with that but it was very good.

Thats what sucks though. Now, you HAVE to search out good music.

Back in the 70s you could walk around the fricking mall or something and hear great jams out of the house speakers
