They're playing Nola in the spring.

Hopefully this could be so since Doc alluded to it a while ago. But he did act like Mutemath and Bush were Zeppelin and the Stones.

Yes, good shows but that =/ big shows in a normal city.

No, I didn't. But nice hyperbole.

Fwiw, both of those shows sold out.

BR is for gas, food and lodging... rarely a destination for national acts...

The varsity for many years neglected a LOT of national acts and their management.

The new booking agent is doing a fantastic job for the varsity in getting bigger named national acts to come to BR

Selling out the varsity should be very easy for any band worth a crap

Are you implying that every band that's "worth a crap" sells out House of Blues and Tipitina's too?

You have no idea...

Well you're a liar. I never compared either of those two bands to the Beatles or the Rolling Stones

You just don't have a clue as to how booking an 800 person venue goes

not a knock on the varsity but in my opinion, not a lot of people in B.R. take the time to find new music to follow. For example, the band "The Whigs" are pretty well known nationally. The show at the Spanish Moon probably won't come close to selling out.
The Whigs- Right hand on my Heart

The Whigs would sell out a lot of venues like the Varsity around the country. Therefore, if you were in a new and upcoming band, why the hell would you come to baton rouge just so nobody will come see you play?
