I paid something like $15 to see them at One Eyed Jacks. Not sure I'm dropping $70 to see them.

Damn. I'll bet that was a rad show. That said, the more recent 2nd album is amazing and I would pay more based on them having even more really good material to play. Saw them at ACL this year, and it was one of my favorite shows. I'm in for the general admission pit

SO just sold her Alabama Shakes tickets for $140 a piece. Love me some Shakes, but I wouldn't drop $140 per ticket to see them

jeeeeze -- they really did blow up crazy. which is amusing, maybe a year and a half ago their singer played a gig at the hi-ho and it was cheap and relatively empty if i recall right.

talented, but would be a tough pill to swallow after seeing them as a casual fan on the cheap several times.

They're also playing at the woodlands on 9/24. Wife is a huge Alabama Shakes fan and that's her birthday weekend, so I'll be surprising her with 2 tickets. I got the $56 tickets.
