I sort of go back and forth between the Elixir 80/20's and D'Addario Light P/B's. The Elixirs do last a long time, but when I can get the D' Addarios for 1/3 the price of the Elixirs, I buy a couple packs of D' A. For sound you can't go wrong with either—strangely enough though, I find one advantage of the D' Addarios is that ... when they start to get mushy, you can really tell. Makes it easy to know when to change strings.
When the Elixirs "peak" in terms of sound—maybe starting two weeks into putting them on—they sound beautiful. Very full, lovely sound from those strings.

LOVE the sound and feel of Elixirs. They are more expensive, but I find I have to change them less, so that's how I justify it. lol
