I am hearing Metallica is playing ACL. Anyone else hearing this rumor?

Overall lineup looks ok I guess. Some good bands for sure, but not blown away. I'd go just to see McCartney though.

most enjoyable part of that fest for me was eating tacos
the Sunday I skipped quite afew of the acts and went eat at a Saints/Louisiana bar restaruunt downtown and watched the game. Had enough of that shite after 2 days
JUst so much damn money for the clusterfrick it is. We had to stay pretty far away, far enough where we needed an uber. Getting out of the fest was kinda hellish. Most fun I have had at a festival was hangout, mainly because I was 1/2 mile from the fest and could leave and comeback multiple times a day. Maybe I am just tired of festivals, I dunno. No War on Drugs, no Sturgill... smh. I would like to see Father John Misty and the National, though

ACL is not really that special of a music fest, besides drawing big acts. But their food selection is one of the best I've seen.

I agree. I usually park across the river and bike. It's much easier that way.

Not impressed.
America can’t do festivals very well and will never have one as revered as Glastonbury.

Another great thing about ACL, especially when it was in the middle of September, was leaving at the hottest part of day and taking a dip in Barton Creek for an hour and then coming back so refreshed.
Lineup is cool, but I hate the 2 weekend thing and I hate the price. I used to get a 3 day pass for like $120 every year on craigslist.

I think you still can do the craigslist thing, but it'll be more than $120 probably. Single day passes go pretty cheap when it gets closer to the festival date. A few years ago I think I only paid $50 for a pass.
