This is actually pretty messed up.

Rock is slowly being phased out of the mainstream.

I'm pissed off.

Rock belongs in the underground anyway. Mainstream modern rock is terrible.

It is. The past several years in NOLA... all the way since Katrina the FM rock was horrible. Songs that were 'new' had already been in other mainstream markets and media for months.

They had a new music show on Sundays. I never listened to it but I figured maybe it would turn into some better tunes on FM.

Now this

I scan and seek often. Hearing what the Laffy and BR stations(when BR had one) and even the Houston- Galveston or Biloxi-Gulfport stations played. It sounded completely different than 92.3 FM.

92.3 was kinda weak but we at least had it.

what about the children??

When I win the lottery
I will put a 100 thousand watt quality rock station in BR for all the children

I 100% agree, but not having at least some kind of modern rock station is telling.

You should have at least one.

If you're in NOLA you need to have your preset dials set on 90.7 and 91.5
If you're to far west (BR) for that you should have your ears on 96.9 or 91.1
If you're to far west for either of those, you need to be tuned in 88.7

Besides are you really going to miss Capitol Cities & The Imagine Dragons 3 times an hour every hour?

what's 96.9 in br? When I'm not listening to satellite radio it's 91.1 or 104.9 for me.

This is the slow progression of blending New Country and Rock together as one entity

If that's the case, then the end is nigh.
