I have been more of a late 70s Dead fan but I have enjoyed some Pigpen moments I have heard before. May have to check out

I met Jesse Jarnow at the Great Went in ‘97. Grimy little pothead who’d never dropped acid or taken mushrooms before. Sorry, but if you’ve never had the psychedelic experience then you’re not qualified to comment on psychedelic music. I don’t think he ever even saw the Dead live.

I was all in favor of smoking some bongs but I was like, “Dang, dude. Take a break:”

Thanks to your post I listened to 4 hours of Deadcast (Playing Dead Pt 1 & 2) on the drive home from Florida. Cant wait to listen to more of them, Thanks.

Season 1 and 2 are WAY better. They dive into american beauty and working mans dead song by song.
