2Pac has the larger catalog, and had a variety of content. Biggie had only a couple songs that really touched on personal or societal narrative (Juicy, I'm Missing You, Suicidal Thoughts) but he was easily a better lyricist and I give him the nod on storytelling as well. That said, I enjoy listening to Pac more, and All Eyez on Me is good, front to back, and 7 Day Theory was great when I was a 14 year old kid smoking dirt weed and breaking curfew

Biggie was the better skilled rapper easily. I also think his 2 albums were better than any Tupac album.
Where it really gets interesting is, Tupac was just starting to actually become a great rapper. His last 2 albums were his best bodies of work and the upward swing he was on would've made this a more interesting debate had he stayed alive. To combat that, Biggie was just an toddler as far as body of work goes and he uncountably would've gotten better as well. Too bad we didn't get the chance to see either truly fulfill their career.
I do agree with those that say Tupac is incredibly overrated. Its not because he lacked good work, its because of the pedestal he is put on. Truth be told, the guy seemed to be bipolar to me. He could be as engaging a person as you you'd ever meet one minute and the next be someone you'd never sit in a room with. IMO, his perceived greatness has more to do with his "Thug life" mantra than his rapping skill.
Anyone that followed Tupacs career would know that he was not a "fake" thug. He was a thug and has the police profile to back it up. He also happened to be a highly intelligent and aware human being. The 2 don't have to be mutually exclusive.

i mostly enjoy early hip hop but I do have a strong spiritual connection to gucci mane. i see a lot of similarities between our childhoods and really our who lives.
