I had reached out to them and they wanted me to install ibo player and provide them a Mac address, so that seems like it locks it down to a device.

I did the same thing and I'm telling you it works across multiple devices. I uninstalled ibo player after and put it in tivimate. The credentials will work on any device. I'm watching the Saints on my phone and I have it on my TV.

Nm I'm using xstream on my phone. The 4kmedia is one device but xstream works on 5 devices and you get everything.

Below is what I see for DTV Stream. Definitely not cheaper than YTTV even with the pending $10 increase CHOICE™ $79.99/mo. Unlimited cDVR: included Gemini Air device | Qty: 1: included Advanced Receiver Service Fee: $15.00/mo. Regional Sports Fee: $15.99/mo

That’s for Directv stream with internet. Or something stupid like that. As usual Att makes everything about as clear as mud. They have 2 different streaming services. Diretv stream and Directv stream with internet which has a contract. You don’t want the latter.

I had DTV Sat for years and checked out Stream before I dumped them for YTTV. They had Stream and then Stream with the Gemini box. When you say internet are referring to the box?

I wish we had DMs on here...

Is XStream a IPTV service?

For the times when games are just streamed through the ESPN app, is there a way to watch those too?

Yes. You'll get every single channel there is plus multiple of the same channels. If the stream goes down, swap channels. I haven't had to yet. You'll get 200 each of Fox, CBS, NBC channels. Redzone, multiple Espn channels. Nfl network etc. You literally never miss any games.

Thanks again for helping out. Next time you're in Oxford, drinks are on me. I'll sign up for a month to try them out. Beats the hell out of paying so much for YTTV.

Doing a search, there's a couple that seem to go by that name. Is xstreamip dot tv the correct one?

Yes Directv stream with internet I think you have to use the Gemini box. It’s more expensive and has a contract. Its a stupid and confusing name as it doesn’t include internet, that’s just what they call it. Then they have regular Directv stream that can be used on any streaming box.

Next thing I'll need to figure out is DVR. I'm a bit older, but I am a fairly tech savvy, so I'm guessing that might be where HD Homerun might come into play? Maybe setup a dedicated box (Raspberry Pi maybe) for that?

Some channels have it built in on live TV but I haven't messed with it. I did try it on the movies but it seems to take forever to start playing again. I'd probably use a dedicated box for it. It would probably work better.

Cool deal, I'll let ya know that I end up doing. For a dedicated box, I'd want to go with something low powered (hence the Raspberry Pi thought). I've been wanting to move my Plex server onto some low powered Pi setup anyways instead of the old laptop that it's been running on.

I use direct tv stream and bought boxes off Amazon for cheap plus I have a fire stick and Apple TV box or the app on the smart tv.

That was fairly painless. Snagged a month, and I have it running on TiviMate in the living room - no freezing issues at all. I can say I'm gonna have to setup Favorites though - that is a crazy number of channels. lol

What app do you use on your cellphone?

Not sure if mentioned already but you can start the cancel process on YTTV's website and they will offer you 6 more months at the current price. That's what I did

How far along the cancel process did you get? Mine took me all the way to the Play Store cancel subscription screen.
