Yellowstone is really starting to suck

Possibly in the top ten best first seasons IMO. 2nd season was great with some tics towards the end.
Now we have, per episode:
10% plot development.
60% meaningless fluff, side plots that mean nothing, going nowhere.
The remaining 30% a combination of:
Beth hating Jaime shite.
Retard cowboy shite.
Indian shite.
Cowboy bunkhouse shite.
Yawnstone. What the F happened to this show?
Now we have, per episode:

I liked it at first, but the way the family treated Jamie for no apparent reason started to turn me off. If John is going to constantly tell Jamie hes selfish, but the show doesnt actually portray him as ever behaving selfishly, then it's just frustrating. Then Beth was made out to be a hero, and she is the trashiest, most unlikable character on the show. They gave her more screen time and showed her being even more of a count to Jamie, and still the show wont reveal WHY. I felt awful for him while the show is telling me I should be pulling for Beth and it doesnt work like that. Add in the constant "woe is us" bullshite from the Indians, and I stopped watching.

Yeah, it has REALLY gone to shite. I'm going to keep watching because I'm still interested in a possible Jamie redemption arc.
Bad writing and abandoned storylines are killing the show. I'm starting to think it won't last beyond this season or next.

Last episode was terrible. Random missing girl. Forced family drama. Over the top cowboy shite. Maybe 5 minutes of a real plot.

Their filming window is pretty short - starts in summer and ends in October. Not sure what, if any, impact WuFlu will have on them doing season 4.

My wife and I watch it together. We don’t watch a lot of shows together usually a series at a time here and there, so it’s kinda a cool time.
I’m at the point of yelling at the TV now.

Yeah even when they revealed why it still didn’t make any fricking sense.
And even just last episode Beth was riding Jaimie’s arse, as per usual, for being subservient to John...Beth is the fricking most subservient to John, she’s never told him no or stood up to him. Jaime has.
In fact one of the only redeeming plot lines right now is how much of a badass Jaime can be when he doesn’t have his tail between his legs.

It’s hard to argue. S1 and 2 were fantastic
My wife and I continue to binge classic dramas and then watch Yellowstone and it really shows how bad the writing has become.
It’s turning into a soap opera quality-wise. Sad.

they had issues with the Utah govt. and Tax breaks. Next season will be filmed entirely in Montana

This season has been so slow. The last episode has 5 seconds of Rip screen time and he is the most entertaining character on the show.

I might be done with the show after this season. It seriously has gotten Western soap opera bad, some very bad writing by Sheridan.
Too many random moments of filler that don’t work at all. Beth is a walking hypocrite in how she treats Jamie, the woe is us Indian shite which contributes nothing to the overall plot, these two new barrel racer girls are the most cringeworthy thing added in the entire show.
The bunkhouse is out of control, the discipline and consequences of acting out of line the first 2 seasons are out the window. Now they party all night and go drunkenly rope/ride buffalo for no reason without consequence. Did the retarded pink hair chick get branded? Who knows they completely dropped that requirement. Jimmy actually talking about leaving out loud to Lloyd, and Lloyd says nothing knowing full well in the past that would put Jimmy face down in that ditch.
The abortion botch is one of the most unbelievable storylines they’ve ever added. As if, during that whole process, they would’ve never mentioned to Beth what was actually going to happen to her.
I let stupid shite like that slide in the past, because the overall storyline was good. But this season it’s just too bad.

Apparently they let some inexperienced director named Christina Voros direct the past two episodes. Maybe that's why this season has felt so bad, but they need to get it back on track ASAP
