Scott was a boy scout for most the time. So he came across as really bland. And then wolverine exploded in popularity. It wasn't really until writers finally ditched "JEAAAAAN!" And placed him solidly into the role Xavier and Magneto made him, a child soldier raised to lead, that he got the depth we have now.

Storm was fricked the moment Halle Berry confronted Todd.

If they hadn't made apocalypse a body surfer we could have had a great storm/shadow King/Xavier story. Given a young actress a chance to make her bones.

I can go into detail...but these are more interesting and dynamic pairings. What Fox has done is play the same note for years, occasionally masking it well. In fairness, your pairing has had a lot of screen time,so I understand your fascination. They haven’t done one film that’s excited me, though I acknowledge their strong chemistry in First Class.

Cheers though, enjoy Fox-Men. It’s over now. The (Marvel Cinematic) Universe wills it so.

The only ones of these that have legs against X/Magneto are Stark/Cap, and Thor/Loki.

Everything else is a stretch.

bullshite. Stark and Parker have a more dynamic relationship in 3 movies than First Class X/Erik have had in 5.

Same goes for Yondoo-Quill, Cap-Bucky and many, many more.

Not to make too many legs jokes here, but X/Erik hasn’t had legs since DFOP, at the very latest & that’s only with the help of the OG X/E...the scenes in the past were the same old shite with them. Tired and played out.

Maybe because Fassenbender blows McAvoy out of the water as an actor, but their dynamic is stale AF, it couldn’t be more clearly written on the wall. “Charles you make a speech and nobody cares” is literally in the trailer...because it’s the same rehashed shite over and over again.

They just pushed the film's release to Summer 2019.

20th Century Fox has plucked the next X-Men film, Dark Phoenix, from its February 14, 2019 release date and rescheduled the film to hit theaters June 7, 2019.

The Latest Mutant Lineup The change in release date is no doubt due to the film’s reshoots, which were not able to begin until late summer to accommodate the schedule of actress Sophie Turner who was committed to filming the final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones.

I wouldn’t be shocked if this movie gets pushed to the Disney Streaming service release, in fear of big screen flop further damaging the X-Men brand.

I would be very surprised if that happens. No movie with this high of a profile is just dropped.

It's coming out for sure. This push back doesn't surprise me, apparently they re shot almost the whole film so they need more time for post. From what I've read, the version they showed in test screenings was a bad as fantastic four.

Another film with Simon Kinberg’s fingerprints all over them.

The perception of that would be 10x worse than a flop

The trailer is running in an online ad campaign as we speak. This is the oddest timing for a pushback ever.

They just dropped a trailer and began the promotional photo push to the entertainment magazines.

What does this mean for New Mutants? It's supposed to come out Aug. 7th 2019. It's already been moved around and gotten bad buzz and if they doesn't turn out well it'll absolutely kill New Mutants.

Kingsman and Masterminds had trailers released and were even attached to previews in theaters and they were both moved back. Not unusual.

And there is zero chance this debuts on disney's streaming service. Disney doesn't own any of the FOX assets yet and that acquisition won't even be approved until late next year at the earliest.

Franchise is dead now. Time for Marvel to reboot it like Spidey.

Usually when a movie is moved into the middle of Summer, it actually means the studio has faith in it. But that doesn't seem to be the case here since they just released a bunch of marketing material with the February release date just a couple of days ago.

'Dark Phoenix' was pushed back because they needed more time to get the VFX done from the additional photography. Should have announced new date before trailer was released.

'Alita' was moved because it would have been destroyed by 'Aquaman' and 'Bumblebee'.

Glad Alita was moved. It would have faced Aquaman, Bumblebee, Holmes and Watson, and one other movie (believe an animated or family movie) all on December 21st.

Movies get moved back all the time. The Force Awaken was pushed back 3 times before its debut.
