I watched him a lot as a kid but haven't seen the documentary yet. I will make it a priority to watch after hearing the responses in this thread.

Always liked when he’d tour factories and the like. Always think of that when i see “How it’s made” on the TV.

My daughter had never even heard of the show(parent fail) so I pulled up an episode on YouTube Saturday morning, and it just happened to be the one where he went to a crayon factory to see how they're made. I can so distinctly remember watching that episode as a kid and being enthralled with it. Daughter just laughed at the low production value of the show.

I just watched this phenomenal film with my 15 year old daughter who had never heard of Mr. Rogers. She summed him up perfectly “ he planted seeds of goodness and kindness “. I think Fred Rogers would like that description.
The scene with the gay guy on the show where he said “ I’ve been saying that to you for two years” got me pretty good. Props to the film makers for capturing the spirit of this wonderful man I grew up with.
