This movie is way way way harder than I was expecting. Lots of torture, implied rape, lots of terrifying screaming.

Definitely not mainstream now, but a pioneer like the previous 2 films mentioned (BOSC and Wickerman). But Witchfinder General is very brutal, agreed. I would also recommend Ken Russell's "The Devils"
