I'm 6 episodes in. I'm enjoying it, but it's nowhere near game of thrones.
It has a little bit of a 90's Hercules TV show feel to it at times. But it's still very enjoyable.

I see them as very different because the witcher is much more high fantasy style. GoT was much more about politics.

Can agree with this. Not even close to being able to compare after only one season. I say this as someone that binged first season, bought game and then the books.

I've avoided just about everything "Witcher" due to the massive circlejerk around the games but this series has been eye-opening. Now I kind of want to play the games and read into the lore.

Witcher was hit and miss on episodes. Some scenes were great, but others felt like high school acting. Pacing was also atrociously done.

Couldn't get into Witcher after a couple episodes. Gave it another try and finished the season. Didn't know what the hell was going on for a lot of it. Rewatching it again, and I've got to say, it has tremendous depth and potential. If Netflix pumps money into the second season budget, I could see this being a great series.
