As it is you've got two options on where you want to discuss music--this board or the OT--depending on what kind of tone you want the discussion to have.

Well in that case, let's not have any board at all. And I'm thinking a music board would attract far more attention than the gaming board or fark board, or world cup board. Money talk is useful, but underused.

Music isn't that distinct is all I'm saying. I don't see a flood of threads on this board. If you want to start music topics and have an intelligent discussion, have them here. They fit naturally and you've got a good crop of posters here who will have intelligent, spirited discussions about them.
Again, it's not my site so my opinion is just one opinion, but while you were starting a thread on here asking why there is no music board--which is asked every month on the help board--why not just start a thread about the music topic you want to talk about and see how it goes?

They could just make a lounge or Cafe, were people could talk about Music,Travel, and other topics that have no reference. Instead of just creating a music Board. And they could create a user playlist for tigerdroppings.com... That would show all the artist user info, in Lousiana or state depending on where you lived.

While I enjoy the music threads in the M/Tv board, I think that an actual Music board is necessary. There's probably a lot of people that think no one will read their obscure music recommendation or thread on the OT or movie board so they just don't post. I really think it would take the reigns as the 3rd most posted in board. JMO.

I said it was the issue of something to talk about.
The guy who I was responding to said that there would be more discussion about music than games (which also has new releases every tuesday).
What would most of the music threads consist of?
"Did you like that new album that came out by xxx?"

"xxx fricking sucks, yyy is better"

Just not enough posters with "informed, universal" interest to justify a whole new board. Gaming/Money/Food and Drink/World Cup/Oil Rig, Fantasy sports, MSB, were all formed because those topics kept threatening to overwhelm some base forum at some time or another.
The most frequent music related thread I see (Which comes out once every couple of weeks), are "what are you listening to now?" threads on the OT.
