Why does NCIS use that blurry camera effect?

They should really get rid of that. I feel like I've starts this thread before, but oh well.

It's the "fuzzy lens" treatment to hide the fact that the characters are aging. NCIS is one of the worst as far as over-using it. It's not on every episode, either. The last few have been OK... Tonight it was constant again. Different director I guess.

I haven't watched much this year. How has the show been this season?

I don't notice it that much. The show carries itself well without needing any camera effects.
