I watched it the other day... Pretty frickin boring movie. I guess i just expected it to have more action.

My guess is that it was a decent movie that came out when there was NOTHING good out, so it looked better than it actually was.

most of the appeal lies in the fact that it is a very tight visual portrayal of a phenomenal book

Personally, I thought it had great acting and great dialogue. I thought it was kind of anti-clamctic though. I usually love the Coen brothers' work and have been a fan since "Raising Arizona". This one just didn't sit well with me.

action =/= good

I like it for the suspense. As far as thrillers go it's this decades Silence of The Lambs.

I thought it was pretty good, not great. It definitely seems to be overrated on here.

What are you people talking about?

Anton Chigurh is one of the all time great movie villains and it is arguably the Coen Brothers' best film.

What movies in the Coen's past made you think it would have more action?

I can understand having problems with the ending (I personally didn't have any), but boring? I thought it was an extremely captivating movie.

my expectations were set way too high for this movie. it came out while i was working at blockbuster. many of my usual customers told me it was the best movie of the year, decade, and ever. i thought it was a good movie, nothing more.. nothing special.

I thought it was ok. I think some people (not all) like to claim it is great because they think it makes them look intelligent. "You didn't like the ending? You must be an idiot that didn't get it."
