Most often the characters who have the most run in with death and have the most close calls are the ones that survive. I have no doubt Jon will survive.
But GRRM, if they go off of his ending, is usually different than what usually happens.

Dany, meanwhile, has never really had any close calls. I think she dies giving birth to her child and never rules Westeros
We're opposite again. I dont think she dies giving birth based sole off the fact that Lyanna died giving birth. I dont think they they would do that type of death again. Jon's mother dies birthing him and then his girl dies giving birth to his son. Thats pretty lame and not very creative. Add to the fact that her previous child died in birth (basically in birth), thats just too many of those types of death.

What other bitter sweet ending can there be?
I think there could be a bunch. I think Jon dying could be bittersweet no matter the way he dies. Sansa or Arya dying at Winterfell would be extremely bittersweet for many, me included, even though a lot of people hate Sansa. I will be super pissed if Arya dies. If Jamie has a full ride to redemption in story line, if he dies, that would upset a lot of people, given that he has become a fan favorite and a pretty deep story line.

This child will be a combination of fire and ice.
Isn't Jon a combination of fire and ice as well?

Don't forget Dany's mom/Jon's grandma also died giving birth.

She wasnt in there much. She was the one who went to Dany and told her to summon Jon to come there though. Basically pumped Jon up a bit to her.
At one point Varys told her that she needs to leave and she told him not yet, that she has to die in those lands. She essentially told Varys that he was going to die too. You could tell it creeped him out pretty good.

It will end with Robin Arryn on the throne
Thus continuing Westeros’ long tradition of having an insane retard on the Iron Throne.

Agree. Jon and Dany's daughter. She'll be the only Targarean left.
