Thread jacking a little on cosmic entities. Think we'll get Hercules if wonder woman flops and a marvel studios drunk on its own power says "watch this!"?

The modern version of Hercules as boisterous bruiser/rampant sex monster would practically print money for Disney. Even if Wonder Woman doesn't flop Disney should do a MCU Hercules.

They've been vague on Knowhere in the MCU. But we also haven't gotten Cosmo running it. Just shout-outs.

Galactus has sizing issues. He's been everything from 30' to fleets of capital ships are dwarfed by his presence.

Usually though he seems to be within spitting distance of the Celestials supposed to be 100'ish statures.

With all the Terrigen storylines going to TV, Marvel needs to unleash the High Evolutionary. But yeah we need FF4 to help fill out space, give us Badoon and Skrulls back, the negative zone.

Sadly we'll never get the Brood or the Shi'ar back.

huh?

Ego's brain was at the center of his planet. He literally explained how he did it when talking to Quill and showed him building layer upon layer on top of it.

There's an internet theory that Ego originally had a body and was decapitated, leaving the head to become Knowhere. But, being immortal, his brain reformed into "the living planet" with no memories.

This what I've read relating to the MCU. After watching GotG V2, they insinuate as much.

Always bugged me. The writers have made Galactus as big or small, weak or powerful as the plot demands. Very uneven.

That's pretty much every comic book character in existence

I haven't read comics in 20 years but I recall Celestials being a specific race of towering beings, each one a little bigger than what Galactus is depicted as. There were many of them, maybe hundreds or more, but only a few had names.

Ego is not a celestial. He is a cosmic being, like the Celestials. I think "eternals" might've been the label but I could be wrong. Ego, Galactus, Eternity, Watchers were some of them.

These cosmic beings were interesting to me and Marvel did a good job of not showing them too often. Usually they'd make appearances in Quasar, Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four. It was always kind of anticlimactic to have cosmic beings fight bc you expect them to be invincible but plots don't work with invincible characters.

I know. But the concept of Galactus mandates a certain level of power and size that shouldn't be deviated from. It's one thing for a regular hero's powers to fluctuate for the sake of stories, but an occasional character who eats planets...if his size and power doesn't fit into a story, then change the story or don't include him.

Thor is the ultimate victim of uneven writing. In the movies and in the comics. Hulk is always strong and always tough. Thor, he'll get knocked around by just about anyone.

He isn't in the comics, but he specifically uses the term in GotG Vol. 2, so for MCU purposes he is.

Marvel may be mashing all of their "god" characters into that grouping. And it makes sense for simplicity sake.

Anything to make the comics more efficient and simple is ok by me for this Universe.

No. The Collector and The Grandmaster are not Celestials. They are members of the Elders of the Universe.

This. Of course they could always alter it for the movie universe. But until they do so definitively I'll just assume that those guys are Elders.

In comics he's from the Eternals/Deviants that inhabit Titan. Created by the Celestials. From there you get into this weird X-Men and Inhumans thing and it's? just whatever. For all intents he's deathless because Death is the ultimate cocktease.
