And after all that, the show only got like 30 seconds of mileage out of that twist. Odd writing choice there.
A twist that was clear as day. Just like it was clear Chelsea was going to die in this episode and the dad was going to use the poison fruit.
I didnt see seasons 1 or 2, but watched season 3 because everyone hyped it up so much. Pretty disappointed in that finale compared to the expectations the show was given.

this is a situation where everyone is an LSU fan and will agree with whatever happens. This was a bad season.
But no one will ever admit it
You didn't enjoy it, that's perfectly fine. But stop trying to speak for everyone else. Some of us did like it and it doesn't matter how much you want to bitch about that.

We finished it last night. I will not say I didnt enjoy it. I did but like I have stated many times in these threads, I am fairly easy to entertain. I do not look for things to bitch about. I take shows like this for what they are, entertainment. Im not looking for every base to be covered. Its just TV and not worth that kind of dissection in my opinion. To those that want to do so, I say go at it.
Of the three seasons, Id certainly say it was my least favorite. Season 1 was my favorite followed closely by season 2 with this season bringing up the rear by a fairly large margin
Looking forward to season 4.

don’t get why everyone is saying Belinda is acting like a bad person? She’s known Pornchai for like a week and they had one conversation about starting a business before she got 5 million dollars. Leaving Thailand was 100% the right decision for her
Its just hyprocritical of her. She is depressed because a rich woman told her she would give her money to start a business and then bailed on her on a whim because she met a guy. Now Belinda is bailing on Pornchai who she made the same aggreement with on a whim because she came into some money and no longer needs him. This money COULD have gotten their spa off the ground.
I don't think she is a bad person for going home with the money but she is defiitely not the honest and compassionate person she portrays herself to be. As soon as her situation was better, she bailed not really caring about anyone else.

I might be in the minority but I thought Mook was very much a gold digger.
I told my wife this in real time. Mook is a Gold Digging Whore.
Also is there some cultural difference where changing jobs in Thailand is considered financial and social status suicide? Mook and the head security guy both acted like picking a new career was a move Gaitok couldn't come back from.

Exactly

Mook was just a poor character. That actress was given nothing to do

That is actually what makes the show so watchable. The characters are human… there are very few one dimensional characters.
Take Mook, for instance. Sweet, soft spoken, conservative dress.
But when it came time for nut cutting, she wanted a bad boy on her arm, not a good boy.

Where did Kate know Victoria from?!? We just going to act like that never happened?
That was a minor plot point to show how Victoria thinks shes better than everyone else. I don't think it was that serious.
The russians not being a part of the ending at all was a bigger issue for me. I mean why the hell are 3 russians in Thailand anyway. They just never explained any of it.

No she wanted a boy who was climbing the career ladder.

Good, but not great season IMO with some magical images and moments. I think MW takes the criticisms and fires back with something special next.
It's still better than almost everything else out there right now even if it might not have been as great as it could have been. There were still plenty of great moments this season to keep it as one of the top shows going right now. I'll watch it as long as it keeps going.

And they skate because "turning them in would ruin their lives"?

There are tons of Russians in SE Asia. Bali now especially. I think quite a few avoiding the war.
Se Asia in general is a big expat area. Thailand is very easy to navigate as a foreigner. Not expensive and can live well.

And when push comes to shove, Piper shows she is just a pretentious spoiled brat and is ok with it
This actually explains her reaction to Lochlan saying he wants to spend the year at the monestary too. She experienced one night and was like "no fricking way" while her less enlightened brither was ready to sign up.

I think it was more of her wanting to be a rebel and do this radical thing. When your needy brother wants to join it ruins the appeal.

Okay what was the funniest scene of the show this season?
It was Victoria at the house party.
It starts with "oh no, not the boat people!" "Well I'm already dolled up so lets go."
Then she asks the asian chick why she is with the dirty old man and ignores her declaration of love. "Does he hurt you? I can help."
Best scene of the whole season.

It seems like the appeal was already ruined based on her confession to her parents. I originall thought the same thing you thought but after hearing how she hated it and is a spoiled brat, it seems more likely that she felt kicked while she was down when she couldn't handle it but her dipshit little brother was ready to join the cult.

i don't think she wants a bad boy, she doesn't want someone who has no ambition. She is certainly hot enough to date up but also reasonable enough to date within her class. She could be one of the whore's at Gary's pool but chooses to work an honest job.
Sometimes men need a kick in the nuts and she provided that.

Gaitok was a good boy and she was obviously attracted to him enough to entertain a date.
Ambition and upward movement in life is more her speed and that’s why she encouraged him to name the suspects of the robbery so he could maybe get a promotion.

I personally enjoyed the filler episodes and cliffhangers more than the season finale of this one. I found the wrap up and “murder” part to be pretty underwhelming.
And the shock that the guy was actually his father could be seen from a mile away.
But that’s ok, because I was kept in the story each week and that was entertainment in itself.
