The Other Guys - One of the most under-the-radar comedies of the last 20 years, IMO.

i think for the most part everybody loves it in hindsight, but i think general populace was over-Farrelled at that point.

And Marky Mark was in just about everything around that time and figured he'd be a wooden straight guy, not a peacock.

Total left field knock it out of the park comedy.

Honestly, we had just moved to a new town and went to see it with some new friends from church. i learned the guy was a talker during movies and hated the entire experience because I legit missed 1/4 of the dialogue because of him. i liked it, but missed a good bit

when i watched it again years later it was laughing at brand new jokes.

Top Gun: Maverick was a LOT more enjoyable than I expected it to be

Exceeded all expectations. Really great delayed sequel.

Grumpy Old Men

Saw it at the drive in with my girl at the time. Knew nothing about it and kind of dismissed it as it was just the movie after what I was there for; Days of Thunder.

Decided to stick around for it and liked it better than the movie I went to see.

I still occasionally throw out a line from it.

Rocky Horror Picture Show

I saw the previews, ads, and people obsessed with it as a cult classic and thought "no way". But it is a really good movie
