Brings a tear to my eye every time. It’s makes me think of all the great folks I’ve known that are no longer around.

Something about when it pans to Alfred with the rifle gets me every time. Despite it all in the end family is everything. Can't go wrong either way, LOTF is probably more rewatchable but RRTI is definitely more deliberately focused and equally moving.

Love both movies.

However, A River Run Though It is my first choice.

Great movie, Redford narrating and as we get older movie has more meaning to me.

A river runs through it is a better film, but I prefer legends. I love them both, but legends holds a slight advantage.

Stab and col Ludlow are fantastic characters

Legends of the Fall is such a unique movie, beautifully depressing is how I would put it.

I watched them both back in the day, but only found myself searching for A River runs Through it.

dammit now I want to watch it again, it's like a song stuck in your thread.
