When I watch Yellowstone I feel like the show wants me to hate John Dutton but I just cant

It feels like it wants you to hate him and have some sort of pity or feelings for Casey and his family but they just come off Whiney and ungrateful. Johns made some bad calls but he’s been in insanely difficult situations at times.

If you know anything about the Old West & those who ran their own empires, they were all ruthless & borderline cruel. What they did to sheepherders was just one small example of how far they would go to protect their empires.

It’s like JR in Dallas, he was a bad guy, but I seemed to always root for him.
