I think we love things more in our youth, so answers will be generational.

Its funny, I've never really rewatched Cheers but I can't ignore it and hold it in high esteem.

It was so huge at the time. And I don't think I'm talking out of school here.

The only show that is slam dunk first ballot easy to rewatch in small clips on YouTube is Seinfeld. It was a syndication legend.

Surprised it took 3 pages. I'll throw in Eastbound and Down.

The Office
Seinfeld
I Love Lucy
Schitt's Creek (does this count as a sitcom?)

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia as honorable mention.

I really enjoyed The Cosby Show when it was on. But it's hard to put it up here after the past 10 years of news on ol' Bill.

Tough -

I Love Lucy

Brady Bunch (out of at least 50 candidates to represent 2 decades - Brady Bunch gets the nod on cultural impact - could have been Andy Griffith, Jeannie, any of the Normal Lear, Taxi, WKRP, etc., but at the end of the day it was Brady Bunch or M*A*S*H.)

Cheers/Frasier (Fight me)

Seinfeld (fairly solid win over Friends)

Yeah - we could almost do a whole Mount Rushmore for each decade/era.

Well, you might....if you had only watched the first season. Anyone who has ventured into season 2 wouldn't have that show in the same goddamn state as Mt. Rushmore.

I don't know why anyone would be embarrassed. I certainly have a great deal of nostalgic appreciation for Saved by the Bell, but it doesn't crack my top 4.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Everybody Loves Raymond. I was pretty late to this show but it's freaking hilarious.

I agree with all of your sentiments, but I would say that Cheers and Night Court make for excellent entertainment in small clip doses. Particularly Woody and Dan Fielding.

It's hard to cut some shows out, because you have some that were as funny as any show ever, but maybe not as consistently. I'm thinking the two greatest black comedies, "Sanford and Son" and "Martin". I wouldn't put them on the Mt. Rushmore, but they were just as funny as anything when they were rolling.

The movies are awesome because they captured how ridiculously corny BB was.

But it was so popular they had a Variety show.

Andy Griffith seemed high brow. Brady Bunch is Gen X youth and there's a fondness for it but it's probably the corniest TV show of all-time.

Ergo the love from Gen Xers loving the movies lampooning it.

We have the Brady Bunch series on disk because I grew up with it. I had Barry Williams sign my book copy of "Teenage Greg" and shook his hand.

My daughter asked me which episode was the best and I couldn't answer. None of them are really great individually. Best I could come up with was Buddy Hinton and Baby Talk. I also liked the episode with Jan and the wig.

But mostly, it's just episode after episode of glorious time-encapsulated cheese!

Rushmore:
Office
Seinfeld
Frazier
Arrested Development
DVD show
Cosby

Gets small statues scattered throughout the Midwest:

Cheers
Mad About You
News Radio
MTM
Fresh Prince
All in the Family
Sanford and Sons
Scrubs
ILL

I’ll argue that the office is the most culturally impactful show of them all. Being at its height of popularity as streaming became available completely changes its legacy. I’ll catch my 14 year old son watching it and quoting it regularly and the majority of it aired before he was old enough to be entertained by things not animated.
