The WOAT has a long list of movies I’ll watch when they’re on tv for the action factor, but I think we can all agree that’s all they are. Whatcha got for best out of this bunch?

The Rock
Bad Boys
Bad Boys 2
The Island
Armageddon
Transformers
Transformers 2
Transformers 3
Transformers 4
Transformers fricking 5
Pain & Gain
Pearl Harbor
13 Hours

I think The Rock is his best followed by Bad Boys and 13 Hours. Armageddon as watchable as it is just has too many unbelievable errors to place any higher than 4th. Pain & Gain is actually a fun hungover movie, the Rock and Wahlberg are pretty good together.

I hate on Bay as much as anybody but you can’t deny his movies are great action and you know what you’re gonna get. A lot of explosions, cheesy lines, “My God’s”, and slow mo rise up shots...

Does anybody do this shot better?

Jesus that filmography is atrocious.

I guess The Rock.

So hard for me to choose, probably go with Armageddon or 13 hours.

I saw him listed as a producer for a quiet place. Didn't know that.

If producer credits count then my vote goes to Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003 remake.

The Rock & Bad Boys 2

Both movies have aged very well and still look pretty good today. They have good casts, good enough stories, and great action.

It ain't Spielberg but cut out all the Transformers sequels and it's fine.

The Island

This might not be a bad movie...characters suck, but anyways.

I compare it to Logan's Run and it is so inferior I hated it.

His movies get really corny and shitty after the first viewing fast.

Best movie for me for first viewing was Bad Boys 2. Even a bit hard to watch it again.

The Rock is one of my favorite action movies of all time. It came out around the time Hans Zimmer started making a name for himself. Such a powerful score.

Pain and Gain and Bad Boys are two other movies of his that I liked.
