Surprised to see this one listed but I really like it even though it's kinda cheesy made for TV. I don't recall anything like this dealing with gargoyle subject matter and would like to see an updated release

Probably Jaws or Alien that were out before I turned 12.
The year I turned 12 had several greats that I would watch multiple times:
The Thing
Beastmaster
Blade Runner (which I came to appreciate later)
Conan the Barbarian
Creepshow
Poltergeist
Secret of NIMH
ST2: Wrath of Khan
Swamp Thing
Hell of a year for movies in those categories and I didn't even mention E.T, Tron, or The Dark Crystal because they were not multiple watch movies for me.

Although it wasn't technically a horror film a film that scared me when I was very young was "Babes in Toyland" starring Laurel and Hardy. The bogeymen sacred the hell out of me.
