what's with all the Glory love on here? i thought the dialogue was cheesy; Broderick looked like a gay teenage pirate; and the cast of characters reminded me of an episode of A Different World sans Dwayne Wayne.

can we get Braugher some flip-up shades?

Greatest Movies:
Longest Day
Das Boot

Disqualifying BoB since it was a mini-series otherwise it would win.

My list is:

We Were Soldiers
Rescue Dawn
FMJ (suck it, I liked the war parts too)
Bridge Over River Kwai
The Great Escape

And while not the greatest war flick of all time, Defiance was one of my favorites.

No other war movie was as realistic with the battles as Saving Private Ryan. The D-Day scene was just amazing.

If we are going by gross sales as a factor I would nominate all of the Star Wars movies.

I really enjoyed that one. Really powerful performances.

An older one with somewhat the same theme...
