What was better Trilogy? Nolan Batman or Cap America?

I know The Dark Knight is considered the pinnacle by most of comic movies but I'm asking as a collective..
Which had the better action, story line, supporting actors and characters, etc and made the best representation so far of the character they represented?

Batman, IMO. The only film in the Cap trilogy I really like is Winter Soldier

Easily Cap. Nolan only really had a handle on action sequences in Dark Knight. BB was too early. TDKR had some bad, uncoordinated scenes.
Both Winter Soldier and Civil War had master class action sequences.

supporting actors
Probably a push. Outside of Caine and Oldman, the Nolan movies have weak supporting. Widow, Fury, Bucky, Stark are overall way better. Throw in Civil War's mish mash, tough to beat that group.

characters
Cap > Bats. But Joker is probably the best character in all 6 movies.

Easily Cap. Evans is fantastic and the 3 movies are a microcosm of Silver Age Cap, Brubaker Cap and Crossover mania. They are much more representative of Comic Books than Nolan's films.
Overall, TDKR is the worst film of the 6 by a big margin.
The films are probably ranked like this:
BB
TWS = TDK
FA
CW
TDKR
Overall, it's Cap by a nudge because TDKR is so weak and the films are more cohesive, show way more growth in characters and are closer to their source.

Yeah Nolan by a mile...even with "Rises" in there. Capt. America was good for what it was, the most solid 3 movies for any Marvel character.

Thinking of the cap films as a trilogy doesn't feel quite right. The first was a one-off experiment for the MCU that they didn't return to for almost a decade, and the third one is really just an avengers movie.
That said, the action in the the caps is uniformly better than in the Nolan batman movies. His action direction got better with each entry, but I don't think Nolan ever truly cared about that element, to the detriment of the series. Is the series' greatest action set piece the one stolen from Heat?
I don't tend to care about representation of comic characters too much, as the characterization in the comics changes so much from writer to writer and era to era. I want individual writers and filmmakers to put their stamps on characters. Nolan's batman a fine, if overly boring version of the character. The Evans cap fits well into the tone of the MCU, which is all that really matters for the character. He gets to be a pseudo-foil to stark, which occasionally makes for decent personal comedy.

BB and TDK are excellent but I think there are pieces Nolan fricks up a bit by trying to make it too hyper realistic.
1. He desperately needed a better stunt and choreography coordinator. Inexcusable to have such poor fight sequences. I get the suit was part of the problem. But still.
2. More detective skills of Batman. Honestly, every live action has done a shitty job of capturing the worlds greatest detective but No,an could have done better.
3. Moving away from the gritty noir Batman locale to NYC Bats. Nah.
BB is the superior origin film only rivaled by Iron Man.
CA isn’t a true linear trilogy though.

Captain America
Batman wants to quit to be with his girlfriend, then quits because she dies. He cries a bunch, gets outsmarted all the time, fakes his death to live with a frick buddy while his adoptive, elderly father figure mourns him for years, leaves a cop in his place hoping he’ll just train himself.
Captain America sacrifices himself to save the world despite his girl begging him no to, wakes up decades later to a new world adapts to new surroundings fairly quickly inspiring an entire team of superheroes to assemble to save the world, takes down a corrupt intelligence agency while saving his best friend, stands up against an attack on civil liberties even if it cost him his life’s work, making himself an outlaw to the country he sacrificed so much for.
Don’t pretend Nolan’s trilogy has a better story and I’ll put the Russos up against Nolan and Evans portrayal of Rogers vs Bales Wayne in any scene you wish.

Automatically invalidates using this list as proof.
There is no chance that TDKR is the #71 film of all time legitimately. 0%. Or that any weighting using that particular metric has any value whatsoever.
Honestly, the Cap vs. Bats battle is the exact modern battle of modern media. Nolan, while successful at it, is more "critically" lauded for "subverting expectations." We've decided that "honest" things are bad. Captain America, both as a hero and as a film set, are seen as weak because "good choices," are simplistic and uninteresting. That we don't want to see the battle of good vs. evil with clear lines. That's why FA is mostly crapped on, when it is a great film, and one most reminiscent of classical adventure films. Sad, really.

Imdb voters love themselves some superheroes.

Face it. You are in a small (but very vocal) minority of people who disliked TDKR. Most of the people who disliked it were holding water for The Avengers - which was released that same year. Fun fact: you can like both.

The Dark Knight Rises is easily Nolan's worst film and it's not close. It's just a mess from start to finish.

I love the revisionist history on this board. When the Winter Soldier came out the reaction on here was "decent Marvel movie. Villian fairly weak". Over the years it has morphed into the superhero version of The Godfather or Citizen Kane.

It’s really not though

That title goes to Interstellar and it's close with Dunkirk. But whatever. It's your opinion and I won't combat it.
