not necessarily because of Will
Step Brothers
Holmes & Watson
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

purely Will Ferrell,

Even though it's only a cameo his role in Wedding Crashers is perfect Ferrell.

I watched night at the Roxbury a few weeks ago and laughed more than I did the first time I watched it several years ago

The Other Guys is probably my favorite...but Elf is easily his tour de force.
Every other character in that movie is a wet blanket and Ferrell totally absolutely carries the film; he's everything in it.
Caan, Zooey bring a bored "I can't believe I'm in this movie" attitude.
And the fact that Elf is still so good is all because of Ferrell. I mean Zoolander, Other Guys, Old School, etc. are all great but different animals and he had some great supporting casts.

Other Guys or Old School
I really like these because he's forced to stay in his lane (especially in Old School) and he doesn't overdo his schtick.

People downvoting you obviously don’t get the joke.
Right? Starting to wonder if many of these cats have even seen the movie.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Soccer Board is first on your "My Forums" list.

Stranger than Fiction, Ferrell humor wears on me and he is toned down a lot for this one.

I saw it once. Not in my top ten Ferrell films.

Step Brothers. But like you, mostly because of John C. Reilly. But WF was great in it too.
