CE,
very good call! Used to watch all those when I was a kid. There are a few cartoons I watch now that i have grown to like. Chowder and the Misadventures of Flapjack are funny as hell.
Avatar still gets my vote for best action cartoon.

The original Johnny Quest series was ahead of its time.

Freaux, have you seen Batman: Behind the Red Hood. Probably one of the best animated Batman stories I have come across.
Nope. Netflix?

It just got released on blu-ray and dvd I believe. I downloaded a copy. You should check it out. It's up there with Mask of the Phantasm.

Gargoyles!
Another underrated gem that took cartoons for kids into a way different direction. Almost as dark and mature as Batman.

1. Looney Tunes
my favorites were definitely the RoadRunner and Speedy Gonzales considering they rarely show them.
2. South Park
the consistency of this show is just amazing
3. The Simpsons
definitely not as good as the first 10 seasons, but it still keeps me interested
4. Rocky and Bullwinkle
the overarching plot line, combined with so many storytelling kitchs make this show one of the best
I've gotta throw Recess into the mix. One of my favorite late disney cartoons
oh yea! and Hey Arnold!!

We must be around the same age because those are most of my favorites as well.

Heathcliff and those junkyard cat Catillac Cats are totally getting disrespected in here.

What's the generic name for Droopy and his cohorts? Is that just called "Tex Avery"?

Yeah. Can't believe it took til page 5 for ren and stimpy to be mentioned. I also don't think he man or spider man was mentioned. A shame.
