She is the worst kind of comedienne. Smug and not funny at the same time, think Amy Schumer just more political and trying harder.

He also does some great pieces that are apolitical and are issues of some assholes taking advantage of other people (debt buyers, doping, auto lenders, etc)

these pieces only sound good if you allow one person to rant OR you have somebody discuss it who is not intellectually capable of responding. Oliver could be made to look like an absolute fool with many of these pieces if a true response was allowed. it's like a movie where you have to have a suspension of disbelief to make it work, but after you're like "that was a bit crazy"

I haven't seen the Daily Show since Trevor Noah took over but it used to be pretty funny.

I enjoyed Jon Stewart. He was funny regardless of your political leanings. Trevor Noah is pretty cringeworthy. Or is that just my subconscious racism rearing its ugly head?

these shows are basically the reverse of walton and johnson type shows, instead of pandering to the LCD pissed off blue collars they pander to the LCD bitter liberal. The viewer doesn't want to be challenge, just confirm their belief that the right are uneducated, racists.

Certainly not me. I've not watched the show, it may actually not be half bad, but the promos were horrendous.

You're saying the current debt buying, tier marketing, and auto lending practice are actually all great with no problems?

"Socially aware" 24-35 year old women? She really can't appeal too much outside of those parameters can she?

She's 47, so the target may be more of the "sassy" and "still got it and still don't need no man" variety.
