Guy kisses girl against her wishes.
Future love interest walks by and sees girl & guy kissing.
Future love interest walks away devastated, exactly one second before girl pushes guy away.

Basketball games winding down to the last shot.
Featured team ALWAYS has possession and is either:
A) Down by 1
B) Down by 2
C) Tied up
They are NEVER down by multiple possessions

Been watching some How I Met Your Mother it would seem

In zombie movies, I hate that no one seems to have ever heard of zombies before. They call them walkers or some shite like that. I'm sorry, does the universe that this movie takes place in never have zombie movies?

When the main character is actually just insane/dreaming the whole thing. Albeit it's been done amazingly well in the past it's like lazy writing at this point.

I think this is why I never cared for westerns. Not only do they all look similar, but the sounds are the same. Every scene is either the cactus wren,, or hoofbeats, or the sound of leather boots in sand, or gunshots.
and someone invented a shite-free horse apparently
another for westerns - people are so clean

Sex scenes when finished have people just rolling over going to sleep or snuggling without any cleanup.
An elite hacker that can break into high level government security in under 60 seconds with nothing but a random computer.
Don't think this a cliche', but something that just irks me about movies and women. Women get so pissed off and offended with infidelity yet when it's in a romcom and some Ryan Gosling type is smashing down a married woman or breaks up a marriage that is about to happen it's somehow sweet that they end up together in the end.

Yes because what Reggie Miller did to the Knicks is something that the movies can't even replicate and make believable.

Not really a cliche, but I getting sick of Australian actors playing Americans. Even though I like Australians, and most of the actors are pretty solid, It seems like an epidemic these days.

What about English actors playing Americans?
And who gives a shite as long as they can act the part

I think some people are mistaking cliches for removing pointless things from movies that aren't entertaining to watch.
Who wants to watch someone eat on screen or wait 30 seconds for the answering machine to pick up?
I'll go with any sports montage, where the team puts aside their differences and goes on a winning streak
Except for Rocky. Rocky montages are GOAT.

Every final battle or fight where the good guys start out kicking arse... Then the bad guy rebounds, hurts the good guy and beats him to within an inch of his life... Then miraculously the good guy musters up some image or memory and becomes almost invincible and beats the bad guy at the last second!
Also... Ultra badass good guys are always hurt or wounded before their big final fight... They never go in 100%.

This is an odd thing

The way movies and TV shows drop that "Captain of the Football Team" like it's some kind of special position or something.

Cliche filled dialogue.
"At the end of the day..." is the cliche du jour. Lazy writing.

First off I don't hate this (not racist
) but this is such a cliche through decades of film making I believe it's actually a character type now. The Magical Negro. Think about the number of times you have seen it play out on screen. Hell Steven King novels alone make it a cliche.

80's slasher movies. Sorority girls are in a creepy house with a crazy killer on the loose. "I'm gonna take a shower."
