CGI would completely frick up this movie. If the mechanical shark had worked properly in the first one, the movie wouldn't be nearly as good. The fact that you barely see the shark is what makes it great.

That plus perfect script and casting. It's the interplay of the characters that made this movie so great. Any remake of "Jaws" might as well put a frickin' laser beam on the shark's head.

Was just thinking that with the continuing trend in remakes in the movie business that over the next decade it appears nothing will be sacred from remake attempts.

Anything that won an Oscar for movie of the year should not be remade.

They could remake all of these...in fact, I am pretty sure they have in some form or another.

This one will happen soon and it will be a sad day. It will probably open November 5, 2015 and they'll travel back to 1985.

Scarface is the most overrated movie ever.

I'd think that it would sure suck to actually remake the original Jaws.

The cinematography, setting, characters, and acting are what made this movie so damn amazing. Anyone else would be a HUGE fricking letdown.

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

Although you can say that Rat Race was a remake sort of.

I've always thought, 20 Thousand Leagues Under the Sea could be a badass remake if done properly.

Shawshank
godfather
starwars

also, i know its a completely different movie but deep blue sea, in my mind is a remake of jaws... basically any shark movie made after jaws, i consider to be a attempt to be like jaws.

also i know they are re releasing star wars in 3d, are they adding anything to it? if so.. boo

Agree with what you said.

Don't ask me how, but I remember seeing Jaws in the theatre. I was 3 or 4. I have no idea how I remember this.

I had a dream my bed was surrounded by water and that sharks were circling it.

But it's kinda cool because since then, I've grown up loving marine life and I've gotten PADI certified and love scuba diving. It really prompted a life long love for aquatic life. Both fresh and seawater.

But yeah, when the guy got his leg hacked off, that freaked me out.
