Watched kingdom of heaven (directors cut) last night and don’t get the hype

Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it, but not much better than the original which most people hate. I thought the theatrical cut had problems but nearly as bad as others made it out to be. The same plot problems I have with the original though seem to show up in the directors cut. What am I missing?

Nothing. It's not a great movie, imo. It's entertainment, for the most part, but it's an action flick set around the Crusades. Exotic women and some fight scenes.

I've never seen the theatrical cut the but the directors cut is top notch.
