More along the lines of Frankenstein’s monster.
ETA: But a nice Frankenstein’s monster. Edward had a loving upbringing. Frankenstein’s monster was pieced together using the body parts of criminals, and the first thing that happened after he came to life is Viktor tried to kill him. Hence, the barbaric nature he had.
