That’s correct, Sam Raimi is directing now which sounds wonderfully weird.

I expect Wanda will have a fairly big part in MoM stemming from the events of WandaVision. She’ll likely either unintentionally cause multiverse shenanigans or maybe a villain behind the veil does, who we later meet in Dr. Strange. He’ll have to come in to clean the mess and help her I’d imagine.

I could also see WandaVision directly or indirectly influencing the emergence of MCU mutants in a kind of inverse House of M twist. In the comics, she basically eradicated them from existence. We’ve not seen any yet, not that it means they haven’t been around.

I think Thanos/Avengers using the Infinity Stones so much will also play a factor. It could easily be retconned that Wanda is a mutant and the experimenting on her/Quicksilver with the Mind Stone simply brought out latent mutant abilities. The mass use of the Snap and Blip, along with Wanda’s antics could cause a huge ripple in the mutant population.... on a scale hitherto undreamt of.
