It's hysterical and I would agree it's underrated strictly because there are a lot of people that haven't seen it. Those that I know that have seen it absolutely love it. The music is solid as hell too.

It's great but I wish they had parodied more music biopics. It's just so heavily Cash.

They could've been more like Not Another Teen Movie and tackled the entire genre but instead focused on one movie.

But they got the humor right and some of the music biopics cliches.

It may be one of the most under- heralded comedies ever. I don’t say underrated, cause everyone who sees it thinks it’s great. It’s just that a lot of people missed it.

It’s awesome. It’s in my Top-5 comedies of all time. So quotable. All the cameos and bit parts are awesome.

Jack White as Elvis! Uuuuhhhhh...Look out man!

Every line in the movie is a joke and they are all good jokes

I mean they tackled the genre so hard they basically destroyed the genre for a decade right as it hit its peak popularity

It's Cash, Ray Charles, and every swing and rock biopic from the 1950's going forward. The scene where he's about to be thrown out of the recording studio until he plays "his music" and is an instant sensation is from a ton of films. The Glen Miller Story, The Benny Goodman Story... they all had the musician struggling for that new sound. The Five Pennies had Red Nichols losing his career and then having a miraculous comeback at the end.

Walk Hard hit every music biopic trope perfectly.

It’s one of my favorites of all time.

And the music is not only hilarious, it’s a legitimately good music despite the parody nature

I play those hits like I would any other on my Spotify all the time

One of my favorite comedies. “Get out of here Dewey, you don’t want no part of this shite”

The Unrated Version of this is basically the equivalent to Kingdom of Heaven’s Directors Cut.

Dewy: "You're gonna be alright"

Brother: "I don't know, I'm cut in half pretty bad here Dewey"

Country Doctor: "I tried my best to save him Mrs. Cox, but this was one of the worst cases of being cut in half that I've ever seen"

Man I saw this in theaters when it came out and didn’t like it at all. A year goes by and I randomly watched it again and loved it. I’ve watched it close to 50 times.
