Sadly they had to go the spread skin route instead of rib cage pulled out and lungs pulled from out and rested over his shoulders. When they did the same to Jarl Borg, the UK and EU versions showed the whole thing while we got angled hack shots. Not sure if they did the same this time but I wouldn't be surprised if they had to dumb it down for the filters and snowflakes.

I think all next week is going to be battle. Including a flash back to the aella battle (probably to start the episode) and move to Ecberts battle. At least I hope

I was very disappointed that we did not get the battle scene between Aella and the Heathens. It felt like last nights episode was almost all filler. I could have done without the threesome scene. I could have done without the human sacrifice. And seeing Jarl Borg's blood eagle was enough, I didn't need to see that shite again. I love Vikings, I think it is the best show on TV right now, but I was not happy with last nights episode.

I agree. Episode was cool but it was a lot of filler (Hopefully in preparation for next week) and they could have cut out the scene where Aefulwolf was having daddy doesn't love me issues and made room for the battle.

Ivar was one scary SOB in that chariot. The great heathen army definitely lived up to the billing when seeing them come over the hill and start screaming RAGNAR just wish we could have seen them devastate the band of English that came to meet them.
