I always found An Interview with a Vampire to be an interesting movie...especially since it is based in LA.

Shadow of the Vampire

starring Willem Dafoe and John Malkovich

It earned Dafoe an Oscar nod.

Vampires (John Carpenter)
Nosferatu (FW Murnau)
Nosferatu: Phantom of the Night (Werner Herzog)
Blood For Dracula (Paul Morrissey)

I think I've covered a good bit of the anti-Twilight vampire films

P.S. Tell her I said wussup

If she's open to foreign movies Let The Right One In is great.

30 Days of Night with josh hartnett was one of the better vampire movies I've seen in a while.... Trailer

Of course, Interview with a Vampire is probably the best vampire movie ever IMO. Trailer

There's a new movie coming out with Ethan Hawke in January, it's called Daybreakers. Trailer

It certainly is not one of the greatest Vampire movies of all time, but when I was younger I loved the movie Once Bitten with Jim Carrey. LINK

If she's in the mood for something different, check out The Addiction. A really interesting take on the genre.

I was at Wal-Mart Saturday and saw "Bloodz vs. Warewolves". It was filmed in the hood. The Bloodz were vampires and the Warewolves were the crips. It looked like it would be realy good.
