So James Cameron finally got off his arse and remastered two of his best movies. Complete 4k remasters with new special features out on digital platforms today.

True Lies is Arnold’s most complete movie. There, I said it.

It's pretty sad that Cameron has decided to just make an endless stream of forgettable Avatar movies until he dies. Abyss and True Lies are good examples of how great he is at making entertainment not tied to existing IPs. He should be pumping out original flicks every 3-4 years instead of 10 Crapatar sequels.

It really is a work of art. The Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio drowning scene always freaked me out. But it lead to the best line of all time "Goddammit, you bitch! You never backed away from anything in your life! Now fight!"

My fav Arnold movie as well. Just a fun ride that seems to last 30 mins. Pacing is so damn good in that movie. And it has almost everything you could ask for in it.

This is nerdy as hell... but what I find myself doing now is watching reaction videos of those movies...

There's a few good reactors out there. Most are too silly and stupid acting to watch..

I like watching their reaction videos, because you're watching them react to the best 20-30 mins of the movie. It's like watching the highlight film of the movie.

I don't really have the patience to sit and watch a 2 hour movie that I've seen before that much anymore.. so watching these reaction videos, I get my highlight viewing of movies.

Plus some of the good reactors are funny as hell. Also, most are of the younger generation, so it's pretty interesting seeing how the younger generation reacts to movies from the 80-90s. Most love them.

It’s not the best movie of all time, but it is one of my favorite movies of all time.

It was apparently pretty traumatizing for her too. I can't blame her...if I had to lay down topless and have the shite smacked out of me over and over I might be traumatized too.

Not 100% sure. I have a 2000ish copy on dvd that I need to break out and compare.

One thing, the 4k transfer is fantastic. The movie looks brand new, the effects are crisp and look amazing. It’s incredible.

True Lies is a RomCom wrapped up in a Schwarzenegger movie...and pulled off remarkably well.

the 1080p open matte version I have is from some European broadcast, it has a water mark at times, but some cool extra details.

After watching the UHD last night, it's not worth it. Wow looks spectacular on my OLED.
