Watching training day on tv and damn it’s still a great movie. Denzel was a bad motherfricker and Eva Mendez was fine as hell on that bed.

Those guys were gonna rape that girl but then Ethan Hawke saved her. And then the gangerbanger Mexicans were going to kill Ethan Hawke but then they found the girls wallet in his pocket and it was the leaders cousin. frickin trippy Holmes.

I liked it, don't get me wrong.

But I feel it was overrated. Man on Fire should get the love that Training Day gets IMO.

Good movie. But I do agree that Man on Fire is a better movie, at least to me. I can watch Man on Fire anytime it is on, doesn't matter what point in the movie it is either.

Mostly just street drug dealers.

Scott Glenn wasn't even with guns pointed at him.

His fellow dirty cops at the restaurant weren't.

It seems like Lonzo was on the low-rung of the dirty cop racket. They basically told him he was on his own.

Even the guys he harassed in his apartment complex weren't afraid of him.

Lonzo was a paper Tiger...who impressed a rookie but not many others.

Don't really agree TD was overrated, but Man on Fire is imho a perfect film. Solid plotting and writing. Nothing extraneous; nothing missing; good, even great performances all around. Satisfying on its surface and on a deeper metaphysical or spiritual level. Probably my favorite movie.

Very few movies that are perfect and they are not always award winners though some are.
