Guys y’all don’t have to feel guilty about that. They don’t give you any clues that there is multiple timelines until episode 3 and then episode 4 makes it very obvious. It was a narrative choice they made purposely

Yeah, he's way too short for the role.

Isn't Vesemir at eye-level with Geralt?

it got hate upfront but i really liked how they did it. And their explanation for it is fantastic. (Deals with how Christopher Nolan did this in Dunkirk to explain 3 different timelines, which all have the same importance, but each takes place over substantial different timelines. Meaning, in Dunkirk, it was 3 phases, 1 of which took 1 month, one took 1 week, and one took 1 day yet they all were of the same importance. So they focused the same amount of time on each one.)

Just binged the series and thought it was great. Have not read the books or payed any game. Will re-watch because I'm sure I missed a lot as the house was pretty busy at the time.

I kind of hope they slow the storyline down from here though and build over several seasons. This is a show that could go easily 9-12 seasons. I’d hate to see them run through the entire story in 4-5 seasons. They’d be skipping so much material.

They’ve already said the 2nd season will be much more focused. This season was used to basically bring everyone up to speed.

The first episode
When Queen Calanthe and Eist discuss the threat posed by Nilfgaard's army on the march, Princess Ciri butts in wanting to know more. But when it's implied that she is too young for such matters, Ciri fires back, telling her grandmother, "you won your first battle in Hochebuz when you were my age." The connection to Geralt comes just minutes later. When discussing what she could have been, Renfri chooses a familiar reference. "Queen Calanthe of Cintra?" she mentions to Geralt, "She just won her first battle at Hochebuz."

Yeah but no one is catching that on their first watch when they have no idea who anybody is.

Slow people maybe, both conversations happen within minutes
Try to be an active viewer, rather than a passive one. Don’t let titties distract you.
