I told a friend Han Solo couldn’t exist in this universe and if they can’t get Poe to fall in line he can’t either.
I have a feeling Poe will be a good little soldier in episode IX even after he gets passed over by some other woman we’ve never heard of after Leia dies.

Explain to me the decision to have a random purple haired woman with no backstory who we've never met, who was second in command to Leia despite proving 3 separate times how inept she was, take command of the last resistance ship and be a glorious sacrificial hero instead of the most decorated and experienced Admiral in the entire Resistance: Admiral Ackbar.
They killed every member on the bridge but ex machina plot armored Leia back into existence and then introduce us to a throw away woman we've never met to be a hero.
That hyper space jump sacrifice should've been either Leia, Poe, or Ackbar.
It's a straight up asswipe with the established IP and a clear feminist message. And the sad part is it didn't even need to be. They could've had Leia do it. She'd sacrifice herself as part of the resistance and be the female hero. It's not even debatable. The director and screen writer himself has said multiple times he's a SJW and the movie is important to advance his causes.

- Holdo, a woman, sacrifices herself. In the process, she cannot trust a man with the overall plan. He's portrayed as too much of an irrational loose cannon.
- A casino full of mostly rich white people is destroyed by a duo of minorities.
- A female minority stops Finn from sacrificing himself. In fact pretty much every female except Phasma is portrayed heroically. Even then, she had a freaking blaster shot bounce right off of her to show just how strong she is.
- Snoke is an evil old white man.
- Luke is portrayed as a feeble man that is scared to teach a powerful female.
