Because those movies are in black and white - kids refuse to watch black and white movies, or, in many cases movies made before they were born.

That's okay, though, because most kids have terrible taste in movies - see Transformers series - those sacks of sticky, gooey $hit have made like $3 billion.

It reminds me of the quote in The Muse when Albert Brooks goes to see "Stan" Speilberg about producing his script...and Steven's cousin says to him..."whatever you do...Just remember, make it in color...people love color."
