The middle east didn't just wake up one day and scream "death to America ". I like that what pushed the terrorist is explained.

And it was emotional pandering. That’s not why terrorists hate the west, and die fighting against the west.

The 9/11 hijackers were well educated and lead comfortable lives. That is typical.

Islamic terrorists are motivated by a genuine held belief in Islam and the moral superiority of their world. They believe we can not coexist.

And here's how it was explained.

It had nothing to do with how his home was bombed by Israelis when he was a child. He and his brother recovered fine from that. He went on to become well eduacted and mainstream.

It had everything to do though with his very shallow and superficial experiences with elitism in the European banking community. And let's not forget how he stupidly and deliberately fought the french police when his dope smoking slacker brother was about to be arrested.

The guy then went on to become nothing more than an intelligent, garden variety prison muslim.

So that's all it takes to radicalize a muslim? They're very delicate, aren't they.

Nope, this show was bullshite pandering designed to teach me a lesson and open my eyes.

The left has argued that terrorists act out of economic concerns. Or because of western actions, be it colonialism or god knows, the crusades.

This is not true, and requires ignoring what these terrorists say to justify their actions.

They justify it in strictly religious terms.

The economic, or colonial arguments, are the lefts attempt to shoehorn their ideology into the problem, and find an answer which they are comfortable with.

They are very uncomfortable with the idea that this is a religious or cultural war, because it flies in the face of their ideology, and to accept the truth, would require them to abandon or revise core principles.

So they ignore the truth.

It’s all about the hurt feelings.

That was a cute sequence.

Sayid Qutb is a good example of how radicalization happens. He lived and studied here, and it was his exposure to “debauched” American values, things like skirts, that pushed him to reject the west.

The ringleaders of the 9/11 attacks (Muhammad Atta, Marwan Al-Shehi, Ziad Jarrah, and Ramzi Bin al-Shibh) were all well-to-do and educated Muslims who came from good families. Jarrah grew up in a secular family and attended a Catholic school in Lebanon before attending university in Germany.

Those men alone disprove the left's theory that radical Islam has everything to do with economics. Those men came from good families and were radicalized while attending university in Hamburg. They then went on to launch the largest and bloodiest terrorist attack our country has ever seen.

That's true.

The premise of terrorist action in this show is false. The attempt is to make the terrorist a sympathetic character who must be understood.

These are very fragile and delicate people. Their sensibilities must be handled with great care.

Yes - and this is one of my objections to the show. No amount of tolerance and understanding will solve this problem.

Just take this show off your list OP. Unless of course you feel as though you need more lessons on tolerance and understanding.
