Just starting watching the other day and finished the fourth episode last night. Loved the gator loki.

For those who know, I assume some of this has origins in a comic book storyline?

So is Mobius a Loki variant as well? It makes no sense what they have done with his story if he is not a Loki variant.
Do they have jet skis in Asgard?

Congratulations on the win in the thread starter war. But can you spice up your bumps a little?

Anyway ...

This was definitely an eventful episode. I don't know if Mobius is gone for good, but his tit for tats with Loki were getting a little old. (They were great for awhile, but they kind of went to that well too often).

I don't know if they will introduce him here, but Kang is definitely an undercurrent in this series. Heck, as soon as Ravona showed up, it's hard NOT to think of Kang. I hope at some point down the line in the MCU we get the iconic Kang/Ravona scene.

The TVA were idiots in not getting rid of both Loki and Sylvie as soon as they got ahold of them - unless it turns out they really need them for something.

Not sure how pruning works given the mid credits scene. Doesn't seem like it is going to be a dependable way to get someone out of your hair.

Is that the last of Mobius?

I highly doubt they'd sign on Owen Wilson (or that he would agree to it) for only 2 and a half episodes.

I don't know man. They signed Matt Damon to be in a 30 second scene where he was in a play.

But I agree - I expect to see Mobius again and he better be on a damned jet ski.

What if he’s Norrin Radd? And he goes back, to get a surf board.

Prune world?

I’m picturing this desolate wasteland of variants only has prunes for food. Things get a bit ... shitty there.

The more I’ve thought about it and the narrative of this series, it occurs to me the one in charge of the TVA could well be an evil Loki. He is the namesake of the show after all. Maybe even the President Loki we saw in trailers. It would bring this full circle to have our now more redeemed Loki and Sylvie have to fight the fully evil version pulling the strings all along, just like Agatha. Also fits into the self-contained story structure the other shows have been.

Y'know, they don't use the word "kill", it's always "prune".

Has anyone else pruned some plants, taken the clippings, and used them to grow more plants? I know I have. It's how I went from 2 crape myrtles to 12, and got some rose bushes going.

Which leads us back to this show- Loki just got pruned, but he isn't dead. Which means any/everyone else who's been pruned, that option is technically in play.

Are the TVA pruning to shape the Sacred Timeline? If so, is that the current timeline we're in, or something they're taking "clippings" and throwing together? Makes you wonder.

Edited to add:
Something curious that I think points to the "pruning" actually being used to create an alternate, "Sacred Timeline":
Loki and Sylvie were moments away from dying on Lamentis. If pruning were simply killing, then you go ahead and let them die.

Maybe I missed it, but what crime did child Sylvie commit on Asgard to bring in the TVA?
